Mineral Explorers:As one of the country’s most prominent gem and crystal dealers, Thomas Nagin has been supplying high-end specimens to the trade for over 35 years. His clients include collectors, decorators and top museums around the world… But before he can sell them, he’s got to go get them. And, as any savvy businessman knows, the best deals come directly from the source. Thomas and his team of Mineral Explorers travel to some of the richest and most remote mines on earth, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at this exciting industry. Digging, dynamite, danger – it’s all in a day’s work, as Thomas demonstrates just what it takes to unearth gems, crystals and minerals of all kinds. Along the way, the Mineral Explorers encounter the unpredictable, from flooded roads to food poisoning, guerrillas to drug cartels. But they also experience a world of beauty, with vivid cultures and breath-taking scenery. Mineral Explorers tells the stories that surround these natural treasures, and addresses the many questions people have asked Thomas over his career – the most common of which was “Can I go too?!”
